Representative Football is an important part of the game in the County and it’s no small honour to be called up to play for Somerset.
Here at the Somerset FA, we run two representative teams: Somerset Women & Somerset U16 boys, who each compete in the South & West Counties Championship competition and play fixtures across the course of the season (Summer for the Women and winter for the boys).
Essentially, a representative team is made up of the best players in the county. It acts as a chance for footballers who are not under professional contracts to test themselves against players from other counties and showcase their skills on a regional stage.
Sponsors can expect sponsorship of both teams in all communications relating to representative football in Somerset and invitations to each match with hospitality and executive coach travel for selected away matches. In addition, sponsors may attend the annual awards evening to present the Player of the Season Award. Sponsors can place their logo on the kit if they commit to three season's sponsorship.
